The Wriders

Many of our Wriders have other bikes to complement their W650. This is just some of them

This is Timo Herranen, from Finland, with his absolutely superb Honda GB500TT, and his collection of W variants

David Landsberger, his immaculate 1989 Honda GB500, and on his Honda Pacific Coast
This is the 'LittleInsect', which belongs to Dick Tym's wife, and your webmaster, Sue. It's a 1998 Honda Hornet streetfighter, which has been heavily modified, and which is now valued at around £8,500. Dick also has a Honda 650 Deauville and a Honda ST1300 PanEuropean, and Sue has a Honda CBF1000

This is Sammy Purdon, on his 1981 Honda CX500, which he bought to use while his W650 was being repaired following an accident. Sammy says it's comfy, but not as much as the W650

Sammy has now obtained this '70 Triumph Bonneville to compliment his W650, and replace his Honda CX500
AZBob and partner on their Moto-Guzzi California EV

Bob Scogin on his Yamaha XS650 hard-tail, which he built himself.........

Bob also has this '95 Triumph Thunderbird......

......and this beautiful '55 Triumph T100
Bill McWilliams has a 1999 Honda VT1100T Shadow Ace, identical to this one. He says the Honda has a top speed of 110mph and is great for touring, but the W650 is still his favourite
Joris Van den Bossche sent this in. He doesn't actually own this bike, but it was such a lovely thing, we decided to pop it on here to see what you all think. The bike is actually a Kawasaki 250 Estrella, not a W650, but it shows what can be done with a modern retro, with just a little imagination.
This is a picture of Vernon Roberts' '94 KLX650C. Can't wait to see pictures of his other bikes - as well as this and the W650, he also has a '78 Yamaha SR500, a '72 Triumph Daytona, a '69 Triumph T100C, and a '74 Triumph Trident!
This is Rocky, from VA. As well as this superb Indian Chief, he also has a 2002 Honda VTX, 1998 Honda Valkyrie, and 2 Cushman scooters. You must have a big garage, Rocky!
This is Lou McCartney's partner, Keith, with his Honda Transalp
The Honda Transalp seems popular with the W650 fraternity. This one belongs to Jon Beck. He says 'since it's an ol' '89er, it only has a single front disc and a rear drum - works most the time.'

The picture was taken at Wolf Creek
Adrian Bevan owns this BSA Starfire in addition to his W650.

Nice to see one of the smaller British bikes in such good condition.

Alan Jacobs likes Matchless's. The picture on the left is his 1956 G11, 600cc twin, restored by him in 1998. He says it was a fairly easy restoration, as it was mechanically sound, had been hand painted, presumably with a prize for the amount of brush marks! The small picture below is a 1954 350cc G3LS, ex AFS. This was a basket case complete with wrong wheels, gearbox and front forks. Both have date-related registration numbers, the twin was 876 HMP which was on a Nissan Micra at Lewes Prison. The government batch from which the G3LS came were all lettered NYV, but he was unable to trace the number, or convince the DVLA. He also has a Honda 400/4, which is in bits, having 'the treatment'
 Robert Lindberg's Moto-Guzzi CaliforniaEV3

For those of you looking for round mirrors for your W650, Bob says the thread is the same, and he currently has the stock W650 mirrors on the Cali. He says the mirrors here are similar in measurements to the ZPower LoBar mirrors, They are 7.5" long (from mount to centre of mirror) 5" high and 4.5" in diameter.

This 1965 Triumph T120 Bonneville belongs to Roger Pfeiffer, from Switzerland. Roger has a 2000 W650, pictured in Gallery 10, and naturally, as a cafe-racer enthusiast, his W650 echoes back to the 60s
This is David Totten's fully-equiped Royal Enfield. Very military looking.
John from Arizona owns this '00 Victory V92SC. He purchased it new in March '00, and it now has in excess of 20k miles on it. It's basically stock, except for a slip-on can and some cosmetic accessories
Craig Rollin's rather elegant Kawasaki Drifter
Although Shin Nakano doesn't own the bikes pictured here, we have included it as it shows Shin and his wife Yukari on rented bikes.

They were on their honeymoon at the time, and travelling from L.A. to Baja California
Les Finnigan comes from Alberta, Canada.

As well as the Triumph Tiger and the 1979 Honda CBX, he also owns:

1980 Honda CT70

1984 Honda CX650E

2003 Kawasaki ZRX1200R

We look forward to receiving pictures of those too, Les

Joris has a new bike....................

he says 'A Honda CB750F RC04 from 1980.

In need of some restauration, don't know yet what it will be. Maybe a cheap winterbike, a low budget track bike...'
